Startup Arguments

The PPJ Framework recognizes the following switches in the command line:

/xp, /noxp, /visualstyles=on|off

Enables or disables the Visual Styles mode without having to recompile the application.

/log, log=filename

Enables logging mode at runtime. When logging is enabled, the PPJ Framework logs a number of events in the log file. If the log file name is not specified, it becomes the name of the application with the .log extension.

When running in debug mode, with Visual Studio open, the same information that would be logged in the log file is also logged in the output window.

Scope

These are desktop executable switches. They are not browser query parameters or a web-host configuration interface. Check the installed release's parser before distributing a command line; the historical log switch spelling is version-dependent. Choose a writable log location and verify it under the deployment account. See Tracing for selective diagnostics.
